Where all the #Queens at?

This year for International Women’s Day, we thought it would be great to speak to some of the amazing women who love and support FUEL10K and hear what they have to say. What better way to show off how amazing the women who love and support our brand are by asking them some questions about their journey. Keep reading to hear their responses.

 

Lindsay

A London gal but bred in Montreal, Lindsay’s feed is bright and colourful with the most wonderful pictures of her cooked creations! Not only does her feed scream health but she’s not afraid to indulge in the odd slice of cake embodying the ideal healthy lifestyle.

Which FUEL10K product is your favourite?

My favourite product from the FUEL10K range is the Chunky Chocolate Granola because I’m a Chocoholic! I make açaí and smoothie bowls every day and it’s the perfect topping!

What FUEL10K product would you eat on the go?

On the go I would take a porridge pot with a spoon. If I’m catching one of my kids’ games, at my desk or on the plane, I can always manage to find hot water and prefer knowing what I’m eating than leaving it to chance.

What fuels your journey in life?

In life my family fuels my journey but I always have to find an hour for myself. My grandmother always told me to take care of 'me' first, then I would be a better person for everyone else. My time is mainly gym time or a quiet moment with a magazine. I’m a gym freak because I love to constantly challenge myself. I'm strong not skinny and I think it’s important to show my girls that feeling empowered is a gift to give yourself.

Who is your inspiration?

My husband is my inspiration. He tells me it’s not all about strength but mind over matter. He’s such a good guy and a huge athlete. He pushes his limits in ways I cannot imagine and we feed off one another.

What is your morning routine? Do you have any vital steps in the routine that you can’t miss?

My morning routine is a 5am wakeup, coffee while taking the dog out then I hit the gym and back in time to get the kids ready for school. I can't remember in the last 10 years when I have missed a day other than on a Sunday.

What advice would you give to your younger self/other woman whom you wish to inspire?

Advice that I give to my 2 daughters or to my younger self is not to look left or right, focus on what’s straight ahead and don’t be distracted by the noise. Whether for school, in a sports race or with friends. Of course, be kind to your peers, be the bigger person. And lastly make the moment count, enjoy your life but workout!

Which FUEL10K product is your favourite?

I am a self-confessed oat addict so it would have to be the FUEL10K Golden Syrup Porridge Pot. It is so easy and quick to make which is perfect for weekday mornings when life is a little hectic.

What FUEL10K product would you eat on the go?


This would definitely have to be Fuel Strawberry and White Chocolate Oat Cookie. It is the perfect pre-workout snack, my go-to at the moment!

What fuels your journey in life?


Food is a massive passion of mine. I love eating, baking, cooking, going out for dinner; if it is to do with food then I’d love it. As I train a lot, making sure I have the correct diet and nutrition is really important.

Who is your inspiration?

There are lots of people in my life that inspire me. My Mum is a massive inspiration to me, especially when it comes to my training. She started running in her 40s, having barely done much before, and is now running 10km races in under an hour. I think her drive to get up and move has taught me to do the same.

What is your morning routine? Do you have any vital steps in the routine that you can’t miss?


My morning routine normally consists of 10 minutes of stretching followed by breakfast. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day so normally I go to sleep at night dreaming of it…the FUEL10K Porridge Pots have become a staple in my morning routine.

What advice would give to a younger self/other woman whom you wish to inspire?

I think I would just say be happy and do what you want to do at all times. Life is too short to try and please everyone and in doing that, you usually compromise yourself. I think that we all deserve to be a little selfish from time to time.

I loooove the double chocolate muffin 😍 smell is incredible

What FUEL10K product would you eat on the go?

Protein oats are ideal for in a rush 👌🏻

What fuels your journey in life?

I like to challenge myself whether it be gym based or kickboxing (which has really pushed me!)

Who is your inspiration?


I look to strong people who had to push past limitations (Ronda Rousey is a big one) but my family are huge motivators/inspirations to me 🙌🏻

What is your morning routine? Do you have any vital steps in the routine that you can’t miss?

Mornings are always hydrate! Wash my face for a “fresh start” & then get washed and dressed (clothes laid out the night before) - I definitely can’t miss the getting dressed part 😂

What advice would give to a younger self/other woman whom you wish to inspire?


My advice would be to “breathe”. It’s so easy to get yourself so tightly wound up and stress over so many things and feel pressured (friends and/or society) so take a moment, take a breath and reset - you’re stronger than you think.

What is your morning routine? Do you have any vital steps in the routine that you can’t miss?

4.45am alarm, write in my journal, workout in our virtual gym at 5.15am until ~6am, pick my daily affirmation card, read a book (personal development), then sort my daughter out for nursery

What advice would give to a younger self/ other woman whom you wish to inspire?

Make yourself a priority every day, it only needs to be 20-30 mins
